Looking for a Book
Jan. 21st, 2013 10:36 pmI had a discussion with my BF about "Where's Waldo?" type books and he described to me a book from his childhood, but he can't recall the name. Maybe one of you fine folks know?
The description went like this:
"When I was young, my school library had this book I can never remember the name of. It was a book of crimes, illustrated in Edward Gorey style. Basically, they challenged you to find the evidence on one page and then on the next, revealed it. That was my favorite, it was beautiful and full of detail."
One example he remembers: "Basically it had a burglar with an empty pocket watch chain and you'd have to find where he dropped his watch to discover how he'd gotten away. And the page was huge and monochrome so it sorta blended into the infinite detail of the scene."
So, it sounds like an illustrated "one minute mystery"/original pixel searching activity. ;)
Anyone have any ideas or other places I could ask?
